There is no better way to get to know a neighborhood than to get out in it! Join me on running tours through some of Nashville’s most distinctive areas.
On a sticky August afternoon, Charlie Peterson, managing broker at Tyler York, and I challenged each other to start from our Gulch Crossing headquarters and run by all the condos within a one-mile radius. We failed. Miserably.
In the area bordered by the River, Edgehill, 21st Ave and James Robertson Parkway, there are no fewer than 32 condo buildings, from historic lofts to ultra-modern highrises.
Given so many options (and humidity, and a six mile route needed to pass them all), we decided a series of runs would be more informative. (Yeah, that’s it “informative.”) So here’s Part 1 – The Gulch and Music Row.
Here’s how it went:
Neighborhood Features
What will you see in the Gulch and Music Row?
All that is hip and trendy!
Excellent food
Extreme walkability
Music City history
Flat out amazing views
Unique boutique shopping
Easy freeway access
Melting pot for locals, college students and visitors
The best real estate firm in the city!
My favorite thing: The Gulch has connectors to so many areas, making it walkable to Capital View on Charlotte, Church Street, Demonbreun and SoBro, Music Row/Vanderbilt, and 8th Ave.
Biggest news: A little company called Amazon is relocating nearby, but most residents are way more excited about Publix opening soon!
